Peter M. Drewett, born 1956 in Kent, began painting at the age of13, winning first place in a national drawing competition designing the car of the future. That same year he and his family moved to Northern Scotland, where he stayed for the next around the next 40 years.
With the encouragement of renowned wildlife artist David Shepherd, Peter turned professional.

In 1983, Peter built and opened his very first gallery in Aberdeenshire.
Within a short space of time his reputation as an established and respected home and international painter blossomed. In the early 1990's this led to his work being a major part of an exhibition/auction at Duff House, Aberdeenshire which was held in the presence of the late H. R. H. Princess Margaret to raise funds for the Choral and Operatic Society charity, of which she acted as Patron.
One of Peter's major pieces of work found it's way to Christie's of New York and was auctioned for an undisclosed sum. It was chosen by one of his well-respected collectors to raise funds for a charity of their choice.
Highly successful international one-man and mixed exhibitions set him firmly on the art circuit at a comparatively young age. As a prolific painter, Peters' art gradually found its way around the globe. In more than 26 countries.
